Boondi Raita Recipe

Boondi raita is a popular side snack or dish served in Indian cuisine along with Biryani and Pulav.

- 1 cup salted boondi
- 400 gm curd
- 2 chopped green chilli
- 2 tbsp desi ghee
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black salt
- coriander leaves
- mint leaves
- water as required
Take one cup salted Boodi in a mixing bowl and add 1 cup water. Leave it aside for 3-4 minutes.
In a separate mixing bowl, whisk the curd until it's smooth and creamy. Add 4 tbsp water and mix well.
In a Tadka pan(tempering pan), add 2 tbsp desi ghee and fry 2 chopped green chilli, 1 tsp cumin.
Add Tadka to the curd mixture. Add 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black salt. Mix well.
Add Boondi to the curd mixture after straining the excess moisture and stir gently. Let the Boondi soak in the yogurt for 10-15 minutes.
Add chopped coriander leaves to the mixture. Mix well.
Garnish with red chilli powder and mint leaves. Serve it chilled.
