Butter Naan Recipe

Butter Naan is one of the favorite and popular Indian flatbread that is eaten as a side dish with Paneer curries.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup curd
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp refined oil
  • 3 cup all-purpose-flour
  • kalonji
  • coriander leaves

Instructions
 

  • Add 1/2 cup curd to a mixing bowl.
  • Add 1/4 cup of milk, 1 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp salt, 2 tsp refined oil. Mix well.
  • Add 3 cup all purpose flour.
  • Gradually add water to prepare a soft dough.Grease a bowl with oil, keep the dough in it and cover it with a wet cloth for 30 minutes.
  • Grease your hands with oil and knead the dough for a few minutes.
  • Divide the dough into small parts. Make small balls out of the dough.
  • Take a ball and apply some flour over it.Roll it to give it a roti like shape.
  • Apply kalonji and some coriander leaves on one side.
  • Next, give it a Naan like shape by rolling and stretching one side with your hands.
  • Apply water on the other side
  • Heat a Tawa or Skillet on high flame. Place the Naan on it.
  • When the bubles has formed, we would press the Naan on the Tawa and lift it.
  • Cook the directly on stovetop flame by placing it upside down.
  • Apply butter on the Naan.
  • Serve it hot with Curries.
