To make Gulkand at home, take fresh Rose Petals. Properly wash them 3-4 times, and dry them completely to let go of any moisture.
Now, take some rose petals and Sugar in a bowl and mash them with your hands. Sugar acts as a natural preservative, so we will use it in ample amounts.
After mashing all the Rose petals, check them by squeezing them in your hands; the juice will come out nicely.
Store in a jar. The jar should be cleaned, completely dried, and sterile so that there is no moisture or odor in it.
Keep the jar in direct sunlight for 4-5 days, so that the Gulkand matures naturally.
