With this recipe, you can make thick Malai from whole milk at home.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 litre full cream milk

Instructions
 

  • Pour milk into a pot.
  • Heat milk on high flame until one boil
  • After a boil, let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Turn off the flame. Let the milk cool for 3-4 hours. Refrigerate it overnight.
  • You will find a layer of thick malai formed on the top.
  • Skim off the layer using a knife and spatula.
  • Your homemade malai is ready.
