To make Mini Naan, take 2 cups of all-purpose flour in a bowl, add 1 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of sugar, 1/2 tsp of baking soda, and 1 tsp of baking powder. Then, add 1/2 cup of curd, 1/2 cup of milk, and 1 tbsp of cooking oil of your choice or butter.
Mix everything well together. Knead to prepare a soft dough. Keep adding milk as required while preparing the dough.
To make a smooth Naan later, apply a little oil in your palms and fingers, and tuck the dough.
Apply a little oil in the bowl too and on top of the dough, cover with a cling film to avoid any air from passing through, and leave it for 1 hour to let it ferment.
After 1 hour, we will check the dough. It has set well, so now we will knead the dough a little and start preparing small balls out of it.
Prepare small balls out of the dough to prepare the Naan. As we are going to make Mini Naan today, we can prepare small balls. You can adjust the size as per your preference.
To make Naan, place a dough ball on a rolling board. Keep the rest of the dough balls covered, or they will become hard.
Apply some all-purpose flour on the board and on both sides of the Dough ball. Now, place some Kalonji seeds and chopped coriander leaves on top of the ball.
Roll with a rolling Pin. If it starts sticking, apply more flour. You can see that I have rolled it into a roti-like shape and kept it thin.
To cook the Naan roti, place a non-stick or Iron Pan on the gas on a medium flame. As soon as it heats, place the Naan on the Pan and lightly fry it, and apply butter on top.
Fry it on both sides till light brown spots appear on the Naan.
You can see that the Naan has been baked really well from both sides. Keep it in a serving plate.
Bake all the Naan in the same manner.
Serve with a delicious Curry and Salad.
Enjoy!
