Puri Recipe: Delicious & Soft Poori

Puri is a crispy, and soft flatbread that can be served as a side dish with breakfast, lunch or dinner dish with other dishes. It is super easy to make and requires only wheat flour, Suji, Ghee, and water.

Ingredients
  

  • 2.5 cup Wheat Flour
  • 2 tbsp Suji
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • Warm water for making dough
  • Desi Ghee for Frying Puri

Instructions
 

  • Take 2.5 cups of wheat flour in a mixing bowl.
  • Add 2 tbsp thin Semolina/Rava and 1 tsp salt to the mixing bowl. Mix it well with your hands.
  • Add 1 tbsp of desi ghee to the mixture and mix it well.
  • Gradually add warm water to prepare a dough. Knead it well for a few minutes. Cover it and keep it aside for 15 minutes.
  • Remove the lid and knead it for 2-3 minutes. Prepare medium-size Peda from the dough to make Puri.
  • Grease the rolling board and pin it with ghee. Now, roll the Pedas to make Puri.
  • Similarly, make the other Puri.
  • To fry the Puri, heat desi ghee in a Kadai. Fry the poori on medium to high flame.
  • Gently press it, flip, and fry both sides.
  • The Puri is ready. Serve with any Paneer curry, Raita, and salad.
