  • 1.5 kg Tomatoes

  • To make sun-dried tomatoes at home, bring home 1.5 kg of fresh and ripe tomatoes from the market.
  • Properly wash and dry the tomatoes of any moisture. Now, cut out the top.
  • Chop the tomatoes into small or large pieces. Keep in mind that the tomatoes will shrink in size after drying out in the sun.
  • Place the chopped tomatoes on plates.
  • Sprinkle salt on the tomatoes.
  • Place the plates in an area where you get ample sunlight and which is dust-and humid free. If the place attracts dust, you can also cover the tomatoes with a thin cloth.
  • Let the tomatoes dry for 4 days.
  • After 4 days, the tomatoes have dried and shrunk in size and are ready to use.
