Thandai is a very popular and refrshing drink that is made using nuts, seeds, saffron, rose petals, and milk. It is very healthy and is made during festivals such as Holi.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup cashew
  • 1/4 cup almonds
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 2 tbsp poppy seeds(khas khas)
  • 1-2 tbsp pistachios
  • 15 rose petals
  • 2-3 tbsp melon seeds
  • 1 tbsp fennel seeds
  • 1/2 tsp saffron
  • 7-8 cardamom
  • 12-15 black pepper
  • warm water
  • 3 cup cold milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Instructions
 

  • Take a bowl and add all the dry fruits and spices
  • Add warm water and leave it for 2-3 hours
  • Grind it and make a fine paste
  • Leave 5-6 tbsp paste in the jar. Add 3 cup cold milk in the jar.
  • Add 1/2 cup sugar and grind it.
  • Add 3-4 ice cubes in a glass and pour the mixture.
  • Garnish with pistachios and saffron.
