Namak Para Recipe (Crispy Namak Pare)

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp carrom seeds
  • 5-6 tbsp ghee/oil
  • water as required
  • oil for frying

Instructions
 

For Dough

  • Add maida, salt, carrom seeds and ghee in a mixing bowl. Mix well
  • Add water slowly to make a dough. Knead the dough to make it tight.
  • Cover the dough and keep it aside for 15-20 minutes.

For Namak para shapes

  • Divide the dough into 4 large balls. Roll it with the help of rolling pin and board. Keep it slightly thick and not too thin.
  • Cut the dough into diamond shapes.

For Cooking

  • Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the Namak pare in batches on low flame until golden brown.
  • Drain excess oil by keeping them on a paper towel.
  • You can store them in an air-tight container and use them for 2-3months.

Notes

Let it cool and store in an airtight container.
