Suji Tikki: Suji Aloo Tikki

Make this easy evening snacks with suji and potato in less oil. This is a very crispy evening tea time snacks that you can make in very less time.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2-3 green chilli(chopped)
  • 1 carrot(grated)
  • 1 inch ginger(grated)
  • 2 medium onion(chopped)
  • 3 cup water
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli flakes
  • 1.5 cup semolina
  • 4 potato(boiled and grated)
  • 1/2 cup coriander leaves(chopped)
  • 2 tbsp corn flour or rice flour
  • 3 tbsp oil(for frying)
  • green chutney and tomato ketchup for serving.

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a kadai/wok. Spread it evenly.
  • Add chopped green chilli, grated carrot, grated ginger, chopped onion. Mix well and cook on medium flame for 1 minute.
  • Add 3 cups of water, salt, cumin powder, black pepper powder, red chilli flakes. Mix well.
  • Add suji(semolina). Cook on low flame.
  • Once the desired consistency is reached and semolina absorbs the water, turn off the flame.
  • Add boiled and grated potato. chopped coriander leaves, corn flour or rice flour. Mix well.
  • Transfer it to a mixing bowl to let it cool and mix it well.
  • Grease hands with oil and prepare small tikki.
  • Heat oil in a kadai on high flame or use air fryer. Fry tikki on high flame. Flip it once the bottom side gets fried or it turns golden brown in color.
  • Serve it with green chutney and tomato ketchup. Enjoy
