Suji Tikki Recipe Ingredients
- 1 tbsp oil
- 2-3 green chilli(chopped)
- 1 carrot(grated)
- 1 inch ginger(grated)
- 2 medium onion(chopped)
- 3 cup water
- salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
- 1 tsp red chilli flakes
- 1.5 cup suji
- 4 potato(boiled and grated)
- 1/2 cup coriander leaves(chopped)
- 2 tbsp corn flour or rice flour
- 3 tbsp oil(for frying)
- green chutney and tomato ketchup for serving.
Suji Potato Tikki Recipe (Step-by-step Instructions with Photos)
1. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a kadai/wok. Spread it evenly.
2. Add 2-3 chopped green chili, 1 grated carrot, 1-inch grated ginger, and 2 medium-sized chopped onions. Mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute.
3. Add 3 cups of water, salt, 1/2 tsp cumin powder, 1/2 tsp black pepper powder, and 1 tsp red chili flakes. Mix well.
4. Add 1.5 cup suji(semolina). Cook on low flame.
5. Once the desired consistency is reached and semolina absorbs the water, turn off the flame.
6. Add 4 boiled and grated potatoes, 1/2 chopped coriander leaves, and 2 tbsp corn flour or rice flour. Mix well.
7. Transfer it to a mixing bowl to let it cool and mix it well.
8. Grease hands with oil and prepare a small tikki.
9. Heat 3 tbsp oil in a kadai on high flame or you can use an air fryer.
10. Fry tikki on high flame.
11. Flip it once the bottom side gets fried or it turns golden brown in color.
12. Fry until both sides turn crisp golden brown.
Serve it with green chutney and tomato ketchup. Enjoy
