Crispy Aloo Tikki Recipe in Hindi Video
Aloo tikki recipe Ingredients
- 6 boiled and grated potato
- 1/4 cup coriander leaves
- 3 chopped green chili
- 3 tbsp chopped mint leaves
- salt to taste
- 1 tsp black salt
- 1 tsp red chili flakes
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 cup rice flour
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1 cup Oil for frying
Preparation
- First, boil 6 medium to large size potatoes and let them cool down at room temperature. Boil the Potatoes in 2 cups of water in a pressure cooker until 3 whistles on medium flame.
- Once the potatoes get cooled down, grate them. Keep them aside.
How to make crispy Aloo tikki (Step-by-Step Instructions)
1.Take a large mixing bowl and add the boiled and grated potatoes to the bowl.
2. Add 1/4 cup coriander leaves, 3 chopped green chili, and 3 tbsp chopped mint leaves to the bowl.
3. Now, for the spices, Add salt as per taste, 1 tsp black salt, 1 tsp red chili flakes, 1 tsp cumin powder, and 1 tsp lemon juice to the bowl and mix everything together.
4. Add 1/2 cup rice flour to the bowl. Mix everything well and prepare a soft dough and leave it aside for 5 minutes.
5. Divide the dough into rough equal small parts as shown below.
6. Now, we will prepare tikki or potato balls. First, grease your hands with oil. Make small potato balls, then flatten them to give them a “tikki or cutlet shape.
7. Similarly make the rest of the tikki.
8. Heat oil in a kadai/wok on high flame.
9. Fry the tikki on high flame until it turns golden brown.
10. Flip and fry the tikki on both sides evenly to make them crispy.
11. Serve it hot. Enjoy your crispy aloo tikki. You can also use this tikki as an ingredient in other dishes like chaat or burger.

- Fry the tikkis on high flame until it turns golden brown.
- Fry the tikkis on both sides evenly to make them crispy.
- Serve it hot alongside green chutney or tomato ketchup.
