This Chikoo Milkshake or Sapodilla Shake is a no-added-sugar, healthy, and delicious Milkshake made from Chikoo, which is also commonly known as Sapota in English and Chiku in Hindi. Chikoo Milkshake is a rich, creamy, and naturally sweet beverage made from ripe Chikoo. Its caramel sweetness and smooth texture will refresh you and give you instant energy. This thick, delicious, velvety milkshake has a delightful aroma and is also very nutritious with the added punch of Milk, nuts, and Dates.
Chikoo is rich in Vitamin C, which is good for our immunity. If you can’t eat them, you can make this shake as I do, and have its benefits. To make it, we will wash, peel, and deseed Ripe Sweet Chikoo, blend with deseeded dates, Almonds, and Milk, and serve chilled with chopped Pistachios. We are not using any added sugar or jaggery in this recipe, so it is completely healthy; however, those who want something more can also add Vanilla Ice Cream.

Chikoo Milkshake Ingredients
- 8 Ripened Sweet Chikoo
- 3.5 cup Milk
- 8 Dates
- 12 Almonds
- Chopped Pistachios
How To Make Chikoo Milkshake
Prepare the chikoo
1. Here, I’m using eight well-ripened sweet chikoos. First, we will wash them thoroughly, then cut them in half from the middle.

2. Extract the pulp using a spoon, which is very easy to do.

Blending ingredients
3. Take a large grinding jar. Add the chikoo pulp to the grinding jar along with seven to eight soft dates(seeds removed), and 10-12 soaked and peeled almonds.

4. Initially, add one cup of boiled and cooled milk.

5. Blend until a smooth paste forms.

Final blending
6. Now, add 2.5 cups of milk (total of 3.5 cups) to make two large glasses of shake. Adding the milk in batches makes it more efficient and smooth. If you’ve added all the milk at once, it would take longer to blend the mixture to a creamy texture.

7. Blend again until the creamy shake is ready. The milkshake is naturally sweet from the dates, so we’ll not add any sugar or jaggery.

Garnish & Serve
8. Serve in large glasses. Garnish with finely chopped pistachios. The milkshake is best enjoyed chilled.
