It is a very popular dish and you can make the dry version as a party starter and the gravy version as a side dish to veg fried rice for a perfect combo dish.

Gobi Manchurian is a very tasty Manchurian dish that is made by coating Gobi/Cauliflower florets in a cornflour and spices-based batter and is deep fried. We then prepare a sweet, sour, and tangy sauce with vinegar, ginger, garlic, chilies, spices, and various sauces like soya sauce, chilli sauce, and tomato sauce. The fried cauliflower florets are then dipped in the sauce and served hot immediately. This tasty snack is loved by everyone and you will love the aroma and taste of this flavorful veg crispy appetizer.

Gobi Manchurian Dry Recipe Ingredients
- 400 gm cauliflower
- 1-liter water
- 6 tbsp corn flour. You can also use Araroat
- 4 tbsp refined flour
- ½ tsp black pepper powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- Oil for frying
- 3 tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp chopped garlic
- 1 tbsp chopped green chilli
- 2 finely chopped onions
- ½ tsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp soya sauce
- 1 tbsp green chilli sauce
- 1 tbsp red chilli sauce
- 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
- ½ tsp black pepper powder
- salt as per taste
- 1 tbsp of cornflour with 2 tbsp of water
- ¼ cup of water
- chopped spring onion
How to Make Gobi Manchurian Dry Recipe
1. For making Cauliflower/Gobi Manchurian Dry, take 400 gm gobi. Cut into small pieces and wash them properly.
2. Heat 1 liter of water in a large pan. Add the gobi/cauliflower pieces or florets into it and let it cook for 3-4 minutes on high flame. We don’t have to boil the water.
3. After 4 minutes, strain the water.
4. In a mixing bowl, take 6 tbsp corn flour/arrowroot, 4 tbsp refined flour, ½ tsp black pepper powder, ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp red chilli powder, and 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste. Mix well.
5. Add water in batches to prepare a thick batter. Don’t pour a lot of water at once or it will turn very liquid in consistency. If the batter seems thin then you can add more cornflour and refined flour.
6. Add the gobi/cauliflower pieces to the mixing bowl and coat them well with the batter.
7. Heat oil in a kadai. Once the oil is hot, add the cauliflower florets to the kadai to fry them.
8. Fry all the cauliflower pieces on medium flame.
9. Add and heat 3 tbsp oil in the same kadai. Add the following veggies: 2 tbsp chopped garlic, 1 tbsp chopped green chilli, and sauté for 10 seconds. Next, add 2 finely chopped onions, mix well, and cook on high flame until the onions become soft and change color to golden brown.
10. Add ½ tsp vinegar, 1 tbsp soya sauce, 1 tbsp green chilli sauce,1 tbsp red chilli sauce, 1 tbsp tomato ketchup, and ½ tsp black pepper powder. Mix well and cook on low flame.
11. Add salt as per taste. Mix well.
12. Add the cornflour slurry. Mix 1 tbsp of cornflour with 2 tbsp of water. Mix well. Also, add ¼ cup of water and cook on low to medium flame.
13. Add chopped spring onion and mix well. Cook for a minute.
14. After cooking for a minute, add the fried cauliflower florets to the gravy and mix well.
15. Garnish with chopped spring onion.
