Rabri or Rabdi, is a rich and creamy dessert. It is loved by everyone as it so so delicious. I always make this sweet dish at home on almost every occasion. In this recipe, I’ll show a secret trick to making more than half a kilogram of Rabri or Rabdi in 15 minutes using only 1 liter of milk without using mawa or milk powder. This Thick Rabdi Recipe is quite useful when unexpectedly more guests show up and you have less time to prepare Rabri for everyone in a short time. There are different variations of Rabdi and this one is more thicker. Some add condensed milk or khoya to make it thicker and creamier. Garnish Rabdi with dry fruits and chopped nuts such as cashews, almonds, and pistachios, and serve it to your family and friends. They will never be able to tell the difference between this and the normal Rabdi Recipe made without bread.

Ingredients to make Thick Rabdi Recipe
- 1 liter full cream milk
- 2 slice milk bread(remove the sides)
- 6 tsp sugar
- cardamom powder/saffron (optional)
How to make Thick Rabdi (Step-by-Step Instructions)
1. Add 1 liter of full cream milk in a kadhai/ wok and heat on high flame.
2. After one boil, turn the flame to low. Stir frequently.
3. Now take 2 slices of milk bread. Chop it into small pieces. (This is the secret trick to double the amount of Rabdi in less milk)
4. Grind the pieces and make bread crumbs. keep it aside.
5. Cook milk on medium to high flame after a boil. Stir frequently.
6. Once it has reduced to one-half, add the breadcrumbs.
7. Add 6 tsp sugar. Mix well until the sugar dissolves.
Cook on a medium flame for 5 minutes after adding breadcrumbs.
8. You can also add cardamom powder and saffron strands.
9. Thick and Creamy Rabdi is ready.
10. It will get thicker once it cools down. Serve your friends and family and Enjoy.
Notes- Stir frequently to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pan. Add sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron once the milk has thickened to the desired consistency.
