What is Momos?

Momos are a dough-based dish that is either steamed, baked, or fried and it encloses either a vegetarian or non-vegetarian filling. The outer layer or dough is made with all-purpose flour but you can also make dough using whole wheat flour if you are health conscious and do not like Maida. The filling of the veg momos is made with finely chopped vegetables such as carrot, onion, capsicum, and cabbage, mixed with various spices. Other variants of Momos use different fillings such as seafood, chicken, paneer, and even chocolate.

I usually prefer Steamed momos over fried ones to avoid the excess oil. This Street-style Momos Ki recipe shows how to make Vegetable Steamed Momos.
