The summer season has arrived, and with it comes everyone’s favorite fruit — mangoes. During this time, many delicious dishes are made using mangoes, such as chutney, jam, and especially refreshing shakes. This is a simple and easy recipe for a thick mango shake made without milk and ice cream. I have also previously shared a mango milkshake recipe where I showed how to prepare it using milk, but without ice cream. If you prefer making your shake with milk and do not have any dietary restrictions, you can check out that recipe as well.
In this thick mango fruit shake recipe, I’ve shown complete step-by-step instructions and a recipe video. I’m sure that you will love this simple and easy method to make a thick, creamy, and delicious mango shake without using milk or ice cream. Both recipes taste delicious; however, this is for the people who want to enjoy the taste of a mango shake but do not like milk or are lactose intolerant.

Mango Shake Benefits
Mango is very beneficial for us as it contains fiber, which helps us maintain weight and helps us lose weight. It is also very good for skin and hair as it contains Vitamins A, E, C, and K, and other nutrients like magnesium and potassium. It also helps to lower cholesterol and control blood pressure. Apart from this, it also contains cancer-fighting antioxidants. So, keeping all these benefits in mind, it is perfectly healthy to drink a glass every day.
Which Mango for Mango Shake
There are so many varieties of mangoes as there is Totapuri Mango, Alphonso Mango, Safeda Mango, and Kesar Mango so it gets very confusing for us as to which variety we should use to make the shake. I like to use the Alphonso variety as it is rich in sweetness and flavor, which will give the shake a rich flavor. The Alphonso mango is the best variety of mango and also one of the most expensive ones. If Alphonso is unavailable, you can use Safeda as it usually arrives in the market first, and if you just cannot wait to make it.

Mango Shake Recipe Ingredients
- 2 mango(peeled and chopped into cubes)
- 15-20 ice cubes
- 1/2 cup sugar
- mango chunks and saffron for garnishing
How to Make Mango Shake Without Milk (Step-by-Step Instructions)
1. Wash 2 mangoes properly under running water. Peel, and Chop the mangoes or take 1.5 cups of roughly chopped mangoes.

2. Take a grinding jar and add all the chopped mango pieces to the grinding jar.

3. Add 15-20 ice cubes to the jar. Adding Ice cubes helps to make the shake thicker.

4. Add 1/2 cup sugar. Sugar is optional since we already used a naturally sweet variety of mangoes. Alternatively, you can also use organic sugar or Mishri(Rock Candy).

5. Blend the mixture to make a lump-free thick paste-like consistency. You can add water if you want to make it less thick. However, I like this consistency and it tastes so delicious.

6. Take a glass, pour some ice cubes, and then pour the mango shake into it.

7. Garnish with small mango chunks to make it even more flavorful.

8. Garnish with saffron strands. This makes it visually appealing and also more flavorful. Saffron is also very healthy for us as it has so many benefits.

Enjoy your delicious, thick, and creamy mango fruit shake. I’m sure your family and especially kids will love this and will demand you to make it every day during this summer season just as my family members do.
