What is Chaas?

Chaas or Chaach or Chhach also known as Ghol, Moru, Taak, Majjige, or Mattha in different parts of the country. It is an Indian version of Spiced Buttermilk that is traditionally prepared by churning curd(dahi) and water together. However, in this recipe, I’ll show how to make buttermilk using a blender. There are a lot of varieties of Chaas such as Plain Chaas, Masala Chaas, and Pudina Chaas. The seasonings and spices used to prepare this Masala Buttermilk differ from region to region and personal preferences. The spices used to prepare the Buttermilk help in digestion and also hydrate and cool you down.
