I’m making this strawberry milkshake with Ice cream so it will be a thicker and richer shake. You can also skip the ice cream and use vanilla extract and lots of nuts for an even more delicious and healthy Strawberry milkshake.
About Strawberry Milkshake with Ice cream
The strawberry milkshake is made with fresh strawberries, milk, vanilla ice cream, and sugar. You can also add whipped cream, vanilla extract, or strawberry syrup for extra flavoring. The ingredients are blended in a blender to make a very smooth and creamy milkshake. Pour the shake into a glass and top it with Ice cream and fresh strawberries, chocolate syrup and you will have a perfect dessert at home. You can also make it vegan by substituting cow milk with almond milk. It is a very simple recipe that can be adjusted as per your preferences and taste which also makes this drink very versatile. Strawberry Milkshake Ingredients
- 6-7 Fresh Strawberry. If you are using Frozen strawberries, then first let them thaw slightly.
- 2.5 cups of chilled milk- the amount of milk can be adjusted as per the desired consistency. Also, the type of milk can be adjusted as per your diet and the desired texture.
- ¼ cup sugar – can be adjusted as per taste and can be substituted for other healthier options like honey or syrup.
- Vanilla Ice cream/Strawberry Ice cream – it makes the shake thicker and more creamy.
- Fresh Strawberry for garnishing (optional)
How to make the Strawberry Milkshake
1. Wash and rinse 6-7 fresh strawberries properly under normal water. Add more or fewer strawberries as per your requirement. I’m making two glasses of shakes from 6-7 strawberries.
2. Remove the stems or the green leafy part at the top. Slice it into small pieces.
3. Take a grinding jar. Add all the sliced strawberry pieces to the jar.
4. Add 1 cup of chilled milk now. We will add more milk later after adding the ice cream.
5. Add ¼ cup of sugar. Adjust the sweetness after tasting the shake as per your taste. You can also use other types of sweeteners like honey, brown sugar, and organic sugar. If you want to make a strawberry protein shake, you can also add around 15-20 cashews and almonds (soaked in water for 5 hours). You can also completely skip the sugar as it is naturally sweet with milk, ice cream, and if you use sweet strawberries.
6. Add 2 scoops of Vanilla ice Cream or Strawberry Ice cream. You can also skip it and use vanilla extract instead if you don’t have ice cream or don’t want to use it.
7. Blend it until the milkshake has a smooth texture. Add 1.5 cups of chilled milk to the jar. As the shake is too thick, we will add more milk. However, if you like a thicker consistency, you can skip and add only 1/2 cup of milk.
8. Blend it again until smooth consistency.
9. Pour the thick and creamy shake into two glasses.
10. Add vanilla ice cream or Strawberry ice cream making it extra flavorful and top with fresh strawberries. You can also garnish it with whipped cream and chocolate syrup to make it more tempting. Serve it Chilled. Enjoy!
