Til Laddu Ingredients
- 1 cup sesame seeds (kale til)
- 1/2 cup jaggery (Gud)
- 4 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp desi ghee
You can also include cardamom powder, cashew nuts, and raisins.
How to make Black Til Laddu with Jaggery (Step-by-Step Instructions)
- Take 1 cup of sesame seeds and 1/2 cup of jaggery.
2. Heat a kadhai/wok on a medium flame and once it is heated, turn the flame to low. Dry roast sesame seeds for 3-4 minutes. Keep stirring.
Once the seeds start popping and changing their color, remove them and keep them aside on a plate.
3. To make the jaggery syrup, take a kadhai/wok on low flame and add water. Add 1/2 cup jaggery and keep stirring to let it dissolve.
4. While the jaggery is melting, grease a plate with desi ghee and keep it aside.
5. Add 1 tbsp desi ghee to the jaggery syrup.
6. Once the syrup is ready, add sesame seeds and switch off the flame. You can also add desiccated coconut, peanuts, cashew nuts, raisins, and cardamom powder at this stage to enhance the flavor of til ladoo.
7. Mix well and let it cool for a few minutes. Don’t let it cool completely. The mixture should still be hot to make Ladoos.
8. When the mixture is still hot, take 1 tbsp out of it, shape it like a Ladoo, and keep it on a plate.
9. Grease your hands with desi ghee and start giving the Ladoos a round shape.
10. The Ladoos are ready. You can store them in an airtight container.
