Oats and Almond Cake Recipe

Eggless Oats and Almond Cake Recipe

This Eggless Oats and Almond Cake Recipe is made with love and devotion to health. I just love cakes and try to make them at home to celebrate any special occasions, but I also do not like to add all-purpose-flour and sugar in them. Dry cakes are always better to make, as we can skip some unhealthy ingredients and make them totally safe for our health and our kids. We can also give them these cakes as a snack and an energy bar, as they pack healthy and nutritious ingredients. Every bite of these cakes is rich, moist, and full of flavor. Enjoy this cake as a guilt-free dessert or make it as a delightful treat on any special occasion.

Cake Ingredients

  • 1 cup of rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup of almonds
  • 3/4 cup of Jaggery powder
  • 1/4 cup of Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 cup dahi/curd
  • 1/4 cup of Desi ghee or Butter
  • Garnish with chopped nuts and chocolate

How To Make Oats and Almond Cake

1. To make the cake, we will first add 1 cup of rolled oats to a grinding jar.

2. Add 1/2 cup of almonds to the jar. No need to peel their skin.

3. Add 3/4 cup of Jaggery powder to the jar. If you prefer more sweetness, then add 1 cup.

4. Add 1/4 cup of Cocoa Powder to the jar.

5. Add 1 tsp Baking Powder to the jar.

6. Add 1/4 tsp Baking Soda to the jar.

7. Close the lid of the jar and blend everything to make a fine powder.

8. Sieve the powder through a fine mesh by placing the mesh above a large bowl. Mix the powder and keep it aside. Remove the leftovers.

9. Next, ready the baking bowl; brush it with oil. Place a butter paper and grease it with oil too.

10. Add 1/2 cup dahi/curd to the bowl.

11. Add 1/4 cup of Desi ghee or Butter to the bowl.

12. Mix everything well using a hand whisker till a smooth and thick consistency of batter is formed.

13. Spread the batter in the cake tin.

14. Garnish as per your desire. I garnished it with chopped nuts and chocolate.

15. Now, to bake it, we will use a pre-heated pressure cooker with salt in it. Keep an inverted plate or a stand, and then place the cake tin over it. Close the lid. Remove the rubber and whistle. Bake it on a low flame for 40-45 minutes.

16. After baking it, check by inserting a toothpick in the middle. If the toothpick comes out clean, it means the cake has baked perfectly, and you can see it has a nice color too.
