In this Aloo Pakora Recipe, you will learn to make the crispy Aalu Ke Pakode also known as Potato Bajji. This Pakora has been one of my favorite evening snacks since childhood out of all the Pakoras. They can be enjoyed with a hot cup of tea in the monsoon season and they are also swift and easy to make. The kids will surely love this recipe and it will become their go-to snack during this rainy season.

About Aloo Pakora
Aloo is a Hindi word for Potato in India. This Aloo pakora or Aloo Bajji is made with a single layer of potato slice coated with a thin batter made of spices and Besan, as well as rice flour for extra crispiness. The spices give it a unique aroma and flavor. Sprinkle some Chaat Masala and serve with a hot cup of Tea and Spicy Green Chutney.

Aloo Pakora Ingredients
- 2 Medium sized Potatoes
- 1 cup fine Besan
- 1 tbsp Rice Flour
- salt to taste
- ½ tsp Roasted cumin powder
- ½ tsp Red chilli powder
- ½ tsp Haldi Powder
- ½ tsp Red chilli flakes
- 1 pinch of Baking soda
- 1 tbsp chopped Coriander leaves
- 1 Cup Water
- 1 tbsp Oil
- Oil For Frying
How To Make Aloo Pakora
1. Peel the outer layer of 2 medium-sized potatoes to make crispy Aloo Pakora.
2. Wash the potatoes properly and then slice them into thin slices.
3. Now, take water in a pot and add all the potato slices into the water. Wash 3-4 times till the water seems clear. Keep it aside.
4. Take a mixing bowl, add 1 cup fine Besan, 1 tbsp Rice Flour, salt to taste, ½ tsp Roasted cumin powder, ½ tsp Red chilli powder, ½ tsp Haldi Powder, ½ tsp Red chilli flakes, 1 pinch Baking soda, 1 tbsp chopped Coriander leaves.
5. Gradually start adding water to make a batter. Mix with a whisker.
6. I used almost ¾ cup of water to make the batter. Remember that the batter should not become too thin.
7. Add 1 tbsp of hot oil. Mix well.
8. The batter is ready. The consistency of the batter should be medium and not too thick or too thin.
9. Place the potato slices on a kitchen towel. Dry the slices, or they will not get coated in the batter.
10. The potato slices are dried and ready to be dipped in the batter.
11. Dip the potato slices in the batter.
12. Heat oil in a Kadai. Dip the potato slices in the oil to fry them.
13. Fry both sides evenly.
14. Fry all the Aloo Pakora until they get crispy and take them out with a strainer.
15. Sprinkle chaat masala to make them taste even more delicious.
16. Serve with ketchup and green chutney.
