In this milkshake recipe, I’ll show you the traditional way to make a thick and creamy mango milkshake recipe without ice cream. It is a delicious and popular drink made with sweet mangoes during the summer months in India when Mangoes are easily available. We see it in every juice shop in every corner of India. Mangoes are usually available in the summer months and we make so many dishes with them during this season.

Mango is a delicious fruit and in India, it is called the King of fruits. There are so many recipes and dishes that we make with this fruit such as Mango pickles, Mango Chutney, Mango shakes, Mango juice, Mango Ice cream, Smoothies, and many more that’s why it is so popular. There is also a variety of mangoes available such as Alphonso, Dasheri, Kesar, langra, Totapari, and others depending upon the region. The mangoes differ in taste and so the recipes require different mangoes as per desired taste.

Mango Milkshake without Ice cream

I’ll use ripe mangoes, milk, nuts, and ice cubes in this Mango milkshake recipe. Sugar is optional as we will already get the natural taste of Mangoes which itself is very tasty and juicy. You can check the rich and creamy texture of this shake in the photos and videos below. It requires minimum ingredients and is very easy to make. You can drink it after a meal or for breakfast.

Variations of Mango Milkshake

There are different variations of Mango milkshakes such as Mango shakes without milk, mango shakes with ice cream, and mango smoothies. You can also add vanilla extract to enhance the flavor. Nuts give this drink extra crunch and nutrition and you can also substitute the regular milk with coconut milk.

Mango Milkshake Ingredients

  • 2 Ripe Mango – First wash them properly, then peel the outer layer and chop them into small pieces.
  • 1/2 cup sugar – you can substitute it with Mishri (Rock candy)
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder for flavor
  • 3 cups of cold milk – boil it before
  • 15-20 ice cubes
  • pistachios, almonds, and rose petals for garnish(optional)

How to Make Mango Milkshake recipe without ice cream (Step by step Instructions)

1. To make a Mango Milkshake without Ice cream, Wash 2 Large sized mangoes. Peel the outer layer, and chop them into small pieces. Keep them aside in a bowl.

2. Take a blender, add all the chopped mango pieces, 1/2 cup sugar or Mishri, 1/2 tsp cardamom powder, and grind it for a few minutes to get a fine paste-like consistency.

3. Taste the shake and add more sugar or Mishri to get the sweetness as per your taste and preferences.

4. Now add boiled and chilled milk into the jar and 15-20 ice cubes to make it thicker.

5. Grind it into a thick paste-like consistency.

6. The thick and creamy mango milkshake is ready.

7. Pour the creamy mango shake into a glass. Add some slices of mangoes if any.
